First and foremost … my new hardware rocks … I’m playing Call of Duty 4 at 1440 x 900, maxed out, 200 frames per second. A week ago, I was playing 800 x 600, low everything, at 50 fps. Bling bling!

Works going well, check out my latest flash creation at Bob Noel’s Swain Library blog. The things you can do with flash are pretty amazing. I have a final project due next week in my flash class, so stay tuned for the illest flash creation ever /sarcasm. It should be cool though.

Further, I pulled off an A in my XML workshop! How, I don’t quite know. Having no previous experience with XML or any sort of programming language, (does HTML count??? Worth a shot.) it took me a while to get used to things. Check out my XML Music Library Project. If you don’t know anything about XML, you will probably get a good laugh thinking this is worthy of anything. In fact, it is. check out the source code. We had to use DTDs, Schemas, XSL files, and several XML documents.

I move into my new house tomorrow, what a relief. It will be bigger, nicer, and better in every way. Not like I’m looking forward to it or anything.

Lastly, completely unrelated and likely irrelevant, I cannot believe that Ron Artest is still getting dealt for quality players and numerous draft picks (A FIRST ROUNDER?????). The Pacers dealt him for Peja for like 2 weeks before he decided to get ‘hurt’. bah.

Busy Busy

Things are crazy lately!

First off … after 5+ years with the same hardware (9800 pro, 1.8 gHz AMD Proc, gig of budget ram), I finally broke down and ordered all new hardware .. hooray!

Started work at Hanapin Marketing last week, which has been pretty interesting so far. I have dived right into both Pay-Per-Click management and Search Engine Optimization as well. I went from being really not busy, to well … busy. But thats how I prefer it anyways.

Things at Swain are going well too. Finally finished the Dossier Visualization for John Beggs, a physicist who is coming up for tenure soon. Check it out here. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

On top of all that, I’m moving out the 31st, and I have two final projects to do as well in the meantime.

Gotta love it.
